Cancellation Policy
Up to 15 days prior to arrival, should you cancel, you will receive a refund minus 20% of the reservation total. If your cancellation falls within the 15-day period you will be responsible for the total room charges at time of cancellation, unless LaPolena is able to re-book the room. If LaPolena is able to re-book the room, you will be charged 20% of the reservation total.
Deposit Policy
All reservations will be confirmed by a one-night deposit charged to a valid credit card at time of booking.

Where to start on this gorgeous bed and breakfast? I sampled the Aviation Suite, which was super spacious with the most comfy bed and linens to die for. La Polena has beautiful, relaxing common areas throughout that beg you to sit down and stay awhile. My favorite was the huge front porch with rocking chairs and porch swing overlooking the Cape Fear River. Southport itself is a delight, every restaurant we sampled had delicious Southern fare and seafood plus breathtaking views. Lots of fun shopping as well. Suzanne, La Polena's host and proprietor, is one of the warmest people you'll ever meet. You won't want to leave and you'll be trying to figure out how to come back soon!

My experience in the Aviation Suite was incredible! It was clean, spacious and most comfortable. Everything from shampoo, conditioner and makeup wipes were already provided. Every morning I immediately felt relaxed with a cup of coffee or tea while sitting out on the top deck as I watched the ferries and boats float by. The house is so lovely and you instantly feel the wonderful blend of luxury and relaxation the moment you walk in. I loved that the location is in walking & biking distance to town, and even better that there are bikes provided! The owners were a treat to be with as well, from their hospitality to their kindness, they made the trip that much better. This is undoubtedly my first of many trips to come!
